  • Bro Repellent Tip #1 : Stupid Is As Stupid Does

Ok, so I've got a new blog segment devoted entirely to shedding light on tips that are specifically designed to ward off one of mankind's biggest embarrasements - the bro. Got a tip yourself? Please share in the comment section below and join the cause.

  • Ozarks Top 20 Conversation w/ Chris Mann

Semi-Finalist on NBC's The Voice & a Kansas native, Mann sits down for some quality time with Robo & Scott

Love em or hate em, singing competition shows could not be more popular right now. I personally could never really get into them, I hated Simon and got turned off completely when Chris Daughtry got the early boot. The X-Factor is the same way. However, I'm hard pressed to find anything wrong with the wildly popular show on NBC, The Voice. From the judges to the way they select the contestants to the social media surrounding the show...it's just incredible.

  • Video Breakdown : Ballpark Snoozers

First off, I want to make it clear that (barring the elderly cause i couldn't bring myself to do it) I would walk right up and punch these individuals. Right in their sleeping faces. I love baseball that much. 'Merica.

  • Cat Facts 101 : My Weekend Success Story

Cat Facts, the latest chapter in the internet's fascination with felines. Because videos with cats flying around on ceiling fans or playing the piano is not enough to satisfy the hunger of all things kitty, we have now chosen to bombard our friends with facts about cats where we are most vulnerable: our cell phones. In case you didn't know, Cat Facts is the new Planking or Soundboard or Something Stupid That Went Viral, where friends text another friend from an unknown number random facts about cats until they cry or go on a rampage. It's great.

  • Video Breakdown: Sweet Brown

I have a feeling this is going to make an appearance on The Ozarks Top 20 Countdown this week as the Audio Breakdown, but honestly it's just to good to wait til then. Only question going into this: Is her name really Sweet Brown? Ayyyy, it's Antoine's Grandma and the backin' up lady's sister and / or poker buddy! Runs in the family 0:05 - Ohhhh, the aparment complex is on fire? Quick ask the other similar internet stories what not to do! 0:09 - Can anybody born before the phrases "10-2-4" or "Fresh from the Five & Dime" tell me what a Cole Pop is? 0:12 - Ah, yes I mix those two scents up ALL the time! Barbecue and Apartment Fire. 0:19 - The irony of this going viral on No Shoes Day is ridiculous. I also like how this turned into a spiritual conversation and no longer a news interview. 0:24 - And I'll be suing that fire!!! 0:27 - She has a point. 0:38 - Why is there still a story going on?! You are NOT topping Sweet Brown!! 0:41 - ohhh, charitable plug and news anchor studder. Check. News interviews are the new David After Dentists, hands down.

  • Top 5 Movies To Have In The Netflix Queue

For those of you who stuck around after Netflix decided to play oil company and start hiking prices, you know they've desperately been trying to earn your trust back. But unlike the way any normal person would...adding a cavelcade of awesome movies...they've just added a crap ton of movies. Good, bad, who cares? It's like the person in charge of buying movies to stream just has a dart board with movie titles and on days it comes to buy...he just has some really bad aim or something. But there HAVE been some bits of awesome come to the world of Netflix as of late. I just thought I'd do my part and let you know what they are.

  • Video Breakdown: 'Dark Shadows' Trailer

This is the first time I've posted a movie trailer for a Video Breakdown, but as we are about to be forced to endure another Tim Burton / Johnny Depp collabo, I feel obligated. At this point, I'm just glad Burton's parents got him a video camera when he was younger and not a small animal, I swear this dude's more twisted than Gacy.

  • You DO Make A Difference: My Children's Miracle Network Story

For the past two days, we have been asking you to make a commitment, to help local families in need and become a Miracle Maker for the Children's Miracle Network at our Radiothon. Donations that help families that have been stricken by the cold hand of illness. It does not discriminate and it does not wait for a more appropriate time, if such a thing even exists. Illness is crippling. The Children's Miracle Network helps to ease the burden this fickle thing creates. These families that have very generously given their time to help explain the miracles that CMN makes are incredibly brave and their tales hit home on so many levels. Not just because these are children in our own backyards. Not just because these are our friends, family or strangers we pass by on the streets or in the mall. To me, these stories strike especially deep.

  • Top 5 Reasons To Be Pumped About March

    It's more than a lion

If you're like me, you probably aren't too thrilled that your entire winter wardrobe that you restocked in November didn't go to very good use these last few months. A) It's cool, that's what Plato's Closet is for, and B) good news! Spring is close...

  • Video Breakdown : What's in My Mouth?

Around 48 hours worth of YouTube videos are uploaded to the site every minute. Which is pretty much a ton of stupid cats, laughing babies and people generally making idiots of themselves. This lady is no exception, aside from the fact that she's loaded up with a bunch of gauze in her mouth and on enough to drugs to make Charlie Sheen tip his cap:

  • What It Means To Be A Cardinals Fan

Over the course of the last week, there's been a certain feeling, an emotion that hasn't been triggered by normal day to day activites, although it makes those activites that much sweeter. Good news is great, bad news is...well, it's still bad, but it doesn't linger as long as it normally does. It's the feeling of new beginnings, this freshness in the air that comes like clockwork every year. Sure, it's the feeling of spring, but to baseball fans it's more than that, it's Spring Training.

  • Video Breakdown : Weather Boy

I admit it's been awhile since I've consistently watched the local news weather report. Between work, the gym and nothing I've got a lot on my hands. NO disrespect the Mr. Keller, the man's a meteorolgist extraordinaire, but if THIS GUY was on our forecast every night...oh man....

  • Benchwarmers: The DGB Edition

By now some know that Scott and I are broadening our programming horizons and launching a new feature: The Benchwarmers. We've teamed up with Cash on KTTS to...basically do what we do every day in the office. Talk sports. You didn't seriously think we spent all day arguing over what Gaga's gonna wear to the Grammy's??? This is our passion, and we'd love some feedback. Not many stats just casual conversation from guys who love casual conversation.

  • Top 5 Can't Miss Concerts of 2012 (v1)

    More to come...

Ok, I meant to do this back around New Years, but I was introduced to Angry Birds Seasons. Needless to say I'm true to my commitments! Unfortunately, Cash over on KTTS beat me to the whole "lists" blog idea, but hey! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery right?

  • A Look Back At The Last Step

Reflecting On A Year That Was

The last few months in the radio industry have certainly been a game changer. Power 96.5 turned 10 years old, which is an amazing accomplishment in this industry. It brought this whole wave of feelings my way: I was excited that I was working at such a succesful station, yet I also remember listening to Cain & McClain, and J.Fotsch in the afternoon back in high school...now I work at a desk across from them. Makes me feel old and I can't say that around them because then they get mad about ME feeling old...

  • Confessions Of A Retired Photographer

    Life Behind The Lens

I read this article today talking about how Justin Bieber said in an interview that he is in love with his girlfriend, Selena Gomez. A few things ran through my mind.

  • Video Breakdown: Most Intense Britney Fan

Not since this little incident (note content) have we seen such a dedicated Britney fan....
