Mercy Opening New Advanced Ambulatory Clinic In Springfield

Mercy Health in Springfield is closing the Urgent Care on National and Montclair to open an advanced ambulatory care clinic.

The Mercy Urgent Care will close on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m., and will re-open on Oct. 1 as Mercy Clinic Advanced Ambulatory Care. The hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

This new clinic is for patients who are not experiencing life threatening conditions or wanting a quick visit because of a sore throat or ear ache.

The clinic will be staffed with physicians, pediatricians, etc. It will also include advanced diagnostics such as cat scans and X-Rays.

Mercy tells KY3 their goal is to make the visit affordable. Therefore, it will cost the same as a clinic rate or a primary doctor visit.

Patients will need to first call their primary doctor and tell them their symptoms.

Their primary doctor’s office can tell them if they should visit an urgent care, ER, or get an appointment at the ambulatory clinic based on their conditions.

There will also be nurses on call for after hours to help patients decide what location would best fit their needs.
