Springfield police are investigating a shooting on Lynn just east of Kansas Expressway.
Officers say they were called to the house in the 1500 block of west Lynn just after midnight.
A man was shot in the torso. He was rushed to a hospital where he underwent surgery and is now listed in stable condition.
The victim told authorities he only new the first name of the shooter. Officers say they have limited information on a suspect.
Police learned the potential suspect was at a house nearby, but didn’t have enough information to pursue an arrest at that time.
