A major winter storm is slowly making its way through Missouri.
Places northeast of Springfield, from Rolla to St. Louis could get up to a foot of snow.
National Weather Service meteorologist Steve Lindenberg says the Springfield area will get a little bit of everything.
“Models are showing a slight warming trend as we head into Saturday. So it is very likely we will see a mix throughout the day, before this fizzles out in the evening.”
Lindenberg says in the Springfield Metro we are expected to get 1-2 inches of snow by Saturday evening.
He there could be some tree limbs down and some power outages before it is all said and done.
He urges drivers to be very cautious when driving on the bridges and overpasses as they could be slick.
