SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — A Springfield man who admitted to a fatal shooting on social media is expected to be sentenced to 20 years in prison under a plea deal.

The Springfield News-Leader reports that 21-year-old Chase Adams pleaded guilty Wednesday to second-degree murder and armed criminal action in the February 2017 death of 19-year-old Zechariah Miles. Sentencing is set for Feb. 8.

Charging documents say Adams made “drive by” threats after Miles got into a disagreement last month over how much he paid a friend of Adam’s for a handgun.

The documents say Adams talked with two witnesses on social media after the shooting, telling one of them, “I’m the one that been shootn over there.” The documents say another witness asked Adams who actually shot Miles, and Adams said, “Me.”
