MoDOT road crews have been working on the roadways since early this morning.
Crews have been clearing roads throughout the storm.
Maintenance engineer, Darin Hamelink, says they plan to be out until late tonight because of another possible round of freezing rain.
He says the worst driving conditions have been north of Springfield.
Hamelink says roads may appear wet but spots can get icy quick because of the low temperatures.
