Imagine you wake up and your house is on fire. That’s what happened to Evelyn Cline on Wednesday morning.
She lived at the home in Humansville with her fiancé and two other people. Luckily everyone got out safely.
“We were using electric heaters and I assume the wiring in the attic got hot and caught the insulation on fire,” Cline says.
The home at the intersection of Gulf and Fisher was a total loss.
Cline says she unfortunately lost four dogs in the fire.
“I’ve had one dog for 12 years,” Cline says.
She adds this is not going to keep her down.
“You know, this is just something that happens,” Cline says. “So now we just have to pick up and continue on.”
