The Missouri State Lady Bears will play DePaul in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Lady Bears will be the eleventh-seed and DePaul will be the six-seed when they meet in Ames, Iowa on Saturday.

The game will tip-off at 2:30 on ESPN2.

ESPN accidentally posted the brackets on TV before the selection show was supposed to air.

The Missouri State Lady Bears (23-9) earned a No. 11 seed in the NCAA Tournament after capturing the Missouri Valley Conference’s automatic bid, and will open their 15th NCAA appearance Saturday, March 23, against sixth-seeded DePaul in Ames Iowa.

The game is slated for a 2:30 p.m. tip off and will air on ESPN2.

The other half of the bracket in Ames is third-seeded Iowa State and No. 14 New Mexico State.

The winners will play on March 25, and the champion of the four-team sub-regional advances to the Chicago Regional for the third and fourth rounds March 30 and April 1.

Missouri State finished second in the MVC with a 16-2 league record and won its 11th league tournament title Sunday afternoon with a 94-79 victory over top-seeded and 21st-ranked Drake.

The Lady Bears boast a rich NCAA Tournament history with Final Four appearances in 1992 and 2001 and a Sweet Sixteen trip in 1993.

MSU last played in the Big Dance in 2016, and is 14-14 all-time in NCAA play.

DePaul is ranked 24th in the latest AP poll, and finished second in the BIG EAST conference with at 14-4 league record and 26-7 overall mark.

The Blue Demons defeated Marquette in conference tournament title game. Iowa State is 25-8 overall and finished second in the Big 12 with a 13-5 league mark.

New Mexico State owns a 17-game winning streak, and is 26-6 after sweeping the Western Athletic Conference regular season and tournament championships.

Missouri State is 0-5 all-time against DePaul, with the five meetings taking place between 2005 and 2010.

The Lady Bears are 2-8 against Iowa State, winning in 1990 and 1991 in the two most recent games.

MSU lost its only game with New Mexico State in 1986.

A limited number of tickets to the NCAA Tournament will be available through Missouri State.

Tickets will be allotted to current season ticket holders with priority points within The Bears Fund first, fans who have priority points but are not current season ticket holders second, and season ticket holders without priority points third.

To make reservations by phone, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, call 417-836-4143 and ask for The Bears Fund.

Deadline for tickets is noon Wednesday, and fans will be contacted no later than Wednesday morning if they have received tickets.

Missouri State will also offer a bus trip to Ames, and interested fans are asked to call The Bears Fund beginning Tuesday morning.
