A lot of northwest Missouri farmers had to scramble to get livestock, grain and hay out of way of rising flood water.
Atchison County farmer Richard Oswald was among those surprised by the rapid increase in flows following a Nebraska dam failure.
Oswald says the additional hurdle was rushing to move livestock, grain and hay to higher ground and that the upcoming crop planting season is up in the air for many of farmers there.
An additional challenge was the harsh winter banged up some roads to the point that they were not passable with trucks hauling products.
