State Senator Trims Red Tape on Untrimmed Lawns

A State Senator from Springfield is looking to cut down on uncut grass. Right now, the city must go through a long administrative process every time a resident has been negligent on their overgrown lawns. The violator will get a visit from a contractor who will mow the grass for them and the city will mail the violator the bill.

Senator Lincoln Hough’s law will make it so that the city does not need to go through administrative steps for repeat offenders in a given year. His law has received a lot of support from Springfield administrators.  The bill also contains divisions broadening and clarifying existing city powers.
