A Lawrence County inmate is dead.
The Lawrence County Sheriff says deputies found the man unconscious in his cell.
A concerned family member called authorities worried that the man might try to hurt himself.
Deputies found him a few minutes later.
He died at the hospital.
Authorities hope an autopsy tells them what happened.
