The National Weather Service has confirmed at least eight separate tornadoes hit southwest Missouri on Tuesday.
One of them, an EF2 twister, dropped down north of Ozark and tracked to the Rogersville area, hitting winds of more than 130 miles per hour.
Three people were hurt in the storm, which destroyed numerous homes in the Waterford Subdivision.
Other tornadoes were confirmed in Wheaton, east of Monett, and Eudora, with two twisters hitting in the Miller and Willard areas.
Crews plan to do more damage assessment on Thursday.
