Bolivar High School Sophomore, Blake Halverson walked into a huge surprise at school on Monday.
The entire school and his family were waiting in the gym to throw an assembly, celebrating him.
But it wasn’t because of good grades or perfect attendance, Halverson was being honored for his good heart.
Every morning, Blake shows up to school at 7:20 a.m (50 minutes early) to make sure he is at the front door to greet students and faculty as they come in. In honor of Student Appreciation Week at BHS, they decided to throw an assembly to kick off the festivities and inspire others to be like Blake.
Halverson walked through a tunnel of students as they gave him high-fives and cheered. Some held posters saying “Be Like Blake.”
A video was played that was made the BHS students, thanking him for being a standout Liberator, and for always lifting others up.
