Title IX Investigation Of Missouri Swim Coach Ended

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Former Missouri swimming coach Greg Rhodenbaugh is no longer working for the university and a Title IX case against him has been closed.

The Columbia Daily Tribune reports Rhodenbaugh’s attorney and university officials disagree about the results of a nine-month investigation into Rhodenbaugh’s team management that began after some student-athletes complained. Rhodenbaugh was placed on administrative leave in October and was reassigned within the athletic department in May.

His attorney, Gregory Anderson, said Monday that the Rhodenbaugh was cleared of all charges and the investigation was closed after the coach hired Anderson to sue the university.

But Missouri official Andrea Hayes said Monday the investigation was closed because Rhodenbaugh’s employment was terminated. She said closing the case doesn’t mean there was a finding that Rhodengbaugh was cleared.
