The man who died in an officer-involved shooting on Christmas Eve has been identified.
Springfield Police say 56 year old David White of Springfield, was the man who was armed with a handgun when police arrived to a home on Latoka Court, was shot after not complying with police officers.
Officers say after White was shot, they secured the suspect and with paramedics, began to conduct lifesaving procedures but White died at the scene.
Police found a woman a bedroom and after discovering injuries that police believe were inflicted by White, she was transported to a local hospital and treated.
No officers were injured.
