Several crashes have shut down lanes of westbound James River Freeway past Kansas Expressway in Springfield.

Two injuries are reported in one of the crashes, which has shut down the left and right lanes of westbound James River Freeway between Campbell and Kansas Expressway.

Traffic is being allowed through in the center lane.

Another wreck had eastbound James River shut down past Kansas, but has been cleared up by 9:06 a.m.

A third wreck was reported at 7:50 a.m. on westbound James River at Campbell, with the right lane closed, but it appears to have been cleaned up by 8:45 a.m.

MoDOT says the estimated backups are about two miles.

KTTS Go Patrol spotters say traffic on the freeway is backed up all the way to National to the east and FF Highway to the west.
