Iran’s foreign minister Mohommad Javad Zarif says that Iran has concluded its retaliation against the United States in its missile strike against Iraqi bases on Tuesday.

No casualties have been immediately reported from those strikes.

Zarif tweeted late Tuesday night that Iran “does not seek escalation or war” but will defend itself.

Iran took & concluded proportionate measures in self-defense under Article 51 of UN Charter targeting base from which cowardly armed attack against our citizens & senior officials were launched.

We do not seek escalation or war, but will defend ourselves against any aggression.
