Missouri Law Enforcement Agencies Receive Grants for Essential Equipment

Governor Parson has announced that over 100 Missouri law enforcement agencies have been awarded a total of more than $700,000 in grants to purchase equipment they need to operate.

Essential equipment is a priority, with many agencies needing ballistic vests, first aid and trauma kits, police radios, light bars, and sirens. The grants are aimed at increasing safety and protecting officers across the state.

“Each time they put on their badge, Missouri law enforcement officers take on tremendous risks without second guessing the potential impacts on themselves,” the Governor said, “They do a job most people don’t want to do, and they must have the proper equipment to protect themselves and our fellow citizens.”

Each department will receive a maximum grant of $9,999.99. The total amount to be given comes in at $708,000.
