Nixa Residents Can File Non-Emergency Police Reports Online

If you live in Nixa and need to file a police report for a non-emergency, you can now file those reports online.

The city of Nixa says the effort is to reduce in-person contact during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can file those reports online here.

Non-emergencies include:

  • Forgery
  • Fraudulent Use of Credit/Debit Device
  • Graffiti
  • Harassment
  • Lost Property
  • Past Disturbance
  • Stealing
  • Stealing from a Vehicle
  • Supplement to Officer Report
  • Vandalism

The city of Nixa says you should not file a report, and instead call 911 if:

  • It is an emergency
  • The suspect is still at the location of the crime
  • The incident or crime occurred outside Nixa city limits
  • You need to report a theft offense that includes a stolen or lost firearm (gun), stolen license plates, or a stolen motor vehicle
  • There may be any physical evidence connected to the crime that needs to be collected (i.e. blood, fingerprints, etc)

Once you submit an online report, it may take up to 3 business days for officer to process online reports and for an officer to contact you with follow-up questions. If you need to speak to an officer more quickly, call 911.
