The shortest season in Major League Baseball history gets underway Friday night for both the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Royals.

The Cardinals send Jack Flaherty to the mound against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Busch Stadium.

First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m.

It will mark the first time ever for the Cardinals to play at home game with no fans.

The Royals get their season underway at 6:10 p.m. against the Indians in Cleveland.

Major League Baseball is playing a 60 game schedule because of the season being delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
