The Springfield Mask Ordinance has been in effect for just over a week and in that time city leaders say no one was issued a citation for not wearing a mask.
Springfield Police have looked into a total of 18 complaints, and only 5 were non-compliant.
In those cases, Police usually gave out educational materials and did not feel a citation was necessary.
City Leaders say the hotline is the Citizen Resource Center, and wasn’t created for the mask ordinance.
