Payne’s Valley At Big Cedar Lodge Opens With Nationally Televised Match

The first public-access course in the U.S. designed by golfing legend Tiger Woods is being showcased Tuesday with a nationally-televised match.

Woods and Justin Thomas will take on European standouts Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose to open the new Payne’s Valley Golf Course at Big Cedar Lodge in Ridgedale.

The course is named in honor of golfing legend and Springfield native Payne Stewart.

The match is being televised on The Golf Channel from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, no tickets have been sold for the match, but there are limited invites for sponsors to be onsite for the event.
