Mourners In Springfield Remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg

A number of people gathered outside the federal courthouse in Springfield Monday to remember the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died last week at the age of 87.

One of those mourners, Dee Ogilvy, says many in Springfield were heartbroken to hear the news about Justice Ginsburg’s death, adding “she’s our champion.”

Jennifer Johnmeyer says Ruth Bader Ginsburg was her idol, and she’s honoring her memory by helping educate people about mail-in and absentee ballots for the upcoming November election.

The League of Women Voters of Southwest Missouri says the deadline to register to vote in the election is October 7, and the group will have more drive-thru registration events before that time.
