One of the two men who were arrested following a fatal crash in Springfield Monday night is now facing charges.
Andrew Hammond has been charged with second-degree murder, tampering, and resisting a lawful stop.
Police were responding to calls of people breaking into cars at an apartment complex when Hammond and a passenger sped off in a box truck.
Authorities say Hammond was driving the box truck when he crashed into a car driven by Beth Adams at the intersection of Fairway and Bennett, west of Glenstone.
Adams died in the crash.
