The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services says a recently reported batch of moldy medical marijuana turns out to be fine.

The department says there is no health and safety concerns with the product after it was re-tested.

A spokeswoman says the agency appreciates the cooperation of facilities during the investigation, and that it takes product safety issues seriously.

The DHSS has received no additional complaints of moldy product since it alerted 200 patients on Tuesday.

DHSS has a stringent testing regimen, and claims to have among the strictest in the country. Testing for Missouri grown medical marijuana requires the product batch to fall well within acceptable limits for relevant tests, including mycotoxin concentration.
