Two People Die On Flooded Roadways In Southern Missouri

Heavy rains flooded roadways in parts of southern Missouri over the weekend, leading to two drownings.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a six-year-old boy drowned on Highway TT at Crooked Creek in Dent County early Sunday morning when he got out of a car on a flooded roadway.

The boy was swept away from the vehicle, along with the driver. The driver survived.

A teenager from Mansfield drowned when her car stalled in water on Highway AB in Wright County Sunday morning.

Aliyah Wedge called 911 for help and authorities told her to get on top of her car.

Wedge drowned after getting out of the vehicle. She was 18.
