There could be a few slick spots as a wintry mix turns to snow across the Springfield area.

Snow was reported in Springfield around noon.

The National Weather Service says we could get up to a half an inch of snow on grass and elevated surfaces.

Rain will changeover to a wintry mix and then snow before ending from northwest to southeast this afternoon. A dusting to a half inch of snow and some sleet will be possible on grassy and elevated surfaces. Brief slick spots are also possible on bridges and overpasses. pic.twitter.com/Wa6krQ1D49
