A new company hopes to bring duck boat rides back to Branson starting this spring.
Branson Duck Tours plans to use all new equipment with added safety features. The company claims that during a test of their amphibious vehicles, the Coast Guard declared that they were virtually unsinkable.
The vehicle is known as the Hydra-Terra, and reportedly kept passenger’s feet 8 inches above water even with drain plugs out and with a full load plus an additional 1,000 lbs.
The company’s Facebook page says it’s a new company with different management. Seventeen people died when a Ride the Ducks boat sank on Table Rock Lake in 2017.
Branson Duck Tours plans to open in the spring.
