Springfield Police have identified a man who died over the weekend in a shooting on South Avenue.
Officers arrived on scene before 5 p.m. on the 900 block of South Avenue and found a man who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Authorities say 31-year-old Cory McHaffie was taken to the hospital with that wound, but died from his injuries.
A suspect has not been identified.
