Springfield mayor Ken McClure joined a national broadcast on Sunday.
Mayor McClure was on CBS’s “Face the Nation” to talk about rising hospitalizations and COVID-19 cases in southwest Missouri.
During the interview, mayor McClure stated “We are a community of collaboration…So we’re focusing on trusted community leaders, those trusted community institutions. We know if it comes from the community and leaders that people trust, that that helps.”

Mayor McClure also talked about vaccine misinformation, the Delta variant, and city response to the increase cases.
The Springfield-Greene County Health Department reports that the 7 day average for COVID-19 cases is 215.
