Those who are wanting to run for Springfield Board of Education can get more information starting next week.
Petition and nomination information will be available for pick-up after 8 a.m. on Monday, November 1st.
That information will be available at the Executive Offices for the Springfield Public Schools on East St. Louis Street.
All candidates must live within the state for one year, and at least twenty-four years of age.
Nomination petitions must contain a minimum of 500 registered voters’ names when turned in. The names and signatures on the petitions for nomination must be verified against the voter registration records in the County Clerk’s office to validate the nomination petition.
The first day of filing will be December 7th.
Two members will be elected to the Springfield Board of Education on April 5, 2022.
