Power is being restored throughout Springfield following a series of severe storms that moved through the Ozarks last night.

The American Red Cross reports damage to houses in Wright and Stone counties.

Buildings in Branson West are said to have received moderate damage.

A spotter reported that a roof blew off a barn along Highway HH in Urbana.

KTTS also received reports of pea sized hail and 60 mile per hour winds on East Republic Road in Springfield.

Severe weather continued moving eastward through the night.

The National Weather Service in Springfield says they are not officially confirming any tornadoes at this time.

However, wind damage reports continue to be investigated throughout the Ozarks.

More reports are expected to come in today, especially from Webster, Laclede and Dallas counties.

Weather even affected a train route early this morning as crews had to be called in to remove a tree from tracks near Springfield.

City Utilities estimate nearly 4,500 customers were without power at around 10 p.m.

Over 90% of power has now been restored.

Three main areas of outage were on Campbell just south of James River Freeway, Battlefield West of Kansas Expressway, and just North of I-44 near Highway H.
