Charges Refiled in Duck Boat Tragedy

(KTTS News) — Attorney General Eric Schmitt has refiled criminal charges against three men involved in the Duck Boat tragedy that killed 17 people.

The boat capsized during a thunderstorm on Table Rock Lake in the Summer of 2018.

Earlier this month, a Stone County Judge dismissed charges against Captain Kenneth Scott McKee, Curtis Lanham and Charles Baltzell.

KY3 reports that in the initial assessment, authorities blamed thunderstorms and winds that approached hurricane strength.

Passengers from Missouri, Indiana, Illinois and Arkansas died.

Nine were from the same family.
