(KTTS News) — Showers and storms are in the forecast today, with a chance for severe weather.
A Tornado Watch is in effect until 4 p.m. for Douglas and Ozark County.
The National Weather Service says the best chance for severe storms in the Springfield area is between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. this afternoon.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through 7 tonight for areas south and east of Springfield.

Strong tornadoes rated EF-2 or higher are possible especially southeast of Springfield.
Temperatures will start to drop once the cold front moves through the area.
A Moderate Risk (4/5) is in place across portions of the MS Valley. Widespread severe weather is expected with damaging wind gusts (some 75+mph), tornadoes (some EF2+) and large hail.
