Joplin Man Charged With Murder After Car Sale Gone Wrong

A man from Joplin is charged with shooting a man in the back last month after an argument over the sale of a car.

Joplin Police say 40-year-old Damyon Fisher pulled out a gun and shot the man as he was running away.

Fisher and an accomplice then dumped the man’s body down a well in Newton County.

Fisher is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

Police believe the man Fisher shot is Scotty J. Roller, who’s 36.

An autopsy is pending.
