(KTTS News) — The entire Pierce City could resign over concerns with the policies of the new mayor.
Some officers have already turned in their resignations.
One officer says one of the problems is that the mayor asked the police chief to resign so he could appoint someone else to the job — someone who wasn’t qualified.
The mayor says he later decided not to fire the chief and asked him to stay.
KY3 says the mayor wants to work with police to ease their concerns.
The Lawrence County sheriff says his department will provide coverage if needed.
