(KTTS News) — New information about the day investigators found the body of 16-year-old Savannah Leckie in a burn pile in Ozark County.

On Tuesday, KY3 says a man testified that his cadaver dogs didn’t find any signs of human decomposition inside the trailer home where Leckie was staying with her biological mother, Rebecca Ruud.

Ruud is on trial for murder.

He says the only evidence he found was in the burn pile where the girl’s remains were found.

Ruud’s estranged husband, Robert Peat, Jr., says Leckie was healthy and happy the last time he saw her alive.

Ruud says Leckie was a troubled girl who killed herself.

She says she burned her daughter’s body after she found her dead.

Then, she reported her missing.
