(KTTS News) — Marshfield’s Dr. Tommy Macdonnell has died at the age of 99, just six months shy of his 100th birthday.
Dr. Tommy, as he was known, served in World War II, taking part in the Normandy invasion.
KY3 says Macdonnell delivered more than 4,500 babies when returned home and became an obstetrician.
And he authored the Clean Indoor Air Act while serving in the Missouri House.
It became law in 1992.
