Shooting In West Springfield Now A Homicide

(KTTS News) — One man has now died after a shooting early Saturday morning in Springfield.

Police heard gunfire coming from the area around the White Oak Gas Station near Scenic and Walnut.

Three men with gunshot wounds were later found in a car near Chestnut and College.

Jaiden Falls, 18, from Springfield died Monday.

Police have not identified a suspect.

On July 30, 2022, at approximately 2:43 a.m., a Springfield Police officer in the 500 block of South Scenic heard gunfire coming from the area of the White Oak Gas Station at 310 S. Scenic.

When officers responded to investigate the shooting, multiple vehicles left the location at a high rate of speed.

One vehicle was later located in a parking lot in the 2800 block of W. Chestnut Expressway.

Three males were inside the vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds.

Two victims, one with a life-threatening injury, were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The third victim refused medical attention at the scene.

Jaiden Falls, 18, from Springfield, the critically injured victim, succumbed to his injuries on August 1, 2022. His family has been notified.

At this time, a suspect has not been identified.

This incident marks Springfield’s 12th homicide in 2022.
