(KTTS News) – Police have arrested a man in connection to a theft and attack of a couple at a red light in Springfield.
Cody Alan Elija Coffman faces a theft charge in the case.
Investigators say Jenny and Rick Keeling were stopped at a red light at Kansas Expressway and Battlefield Road.
The man inside a car in front of them got out, ran up to the driver’s side of the Keelings’ vehicle, opened the door, attacked the couple, took their wallets, and fled.
An officer located Coffman on Monday.
After a search, police found a wallet containing Keeling’s driver’s license and other personal identification.
A judge has set a bond for Coffman at $25,000.
