(KTTS News) — More than 80 veterans from the Ozarks will spend Tuesday in Washington, D.C. as part of Honor Flight of the Ozarks.
It’s the second trip this year.
Veterans will spend the day touring the memorials to those who served.
Their flight leaves Tuesday morning and arrives back at the Springfield-Branson National Airport between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday night.
The third and final trip of the year is October 25.
Veterans who were honorably discharged can apply to make the trip for free.
Guardians pay $500 to make the trip.
Honor Flight of the Ozarks raises money for the trips throughout the year.
