(KTTS News) — Authorities have identified two people who died in an officer-involved shooting in Christian County.
Timothy Shafer, 37, and Donna Bailey, 23, were both shot.
Ozark Police tried to stop them for possible drunk driving early Saturday morning.
Christian County deputies later stopped them on Highway CC in the Highlandville area, but they refused to get out of their vehicle.
Authorities say Shaefer later appeared out of the driver’s side window with a gun.
Christian County deputies, Nixa Police, and Ozark Police officers shot them both.
The Sheriff’s Critical Incident Team (SCIT) investigated the incident.
The SCIT is comprised of the sheriffs of Greene County, Christian County, Webster County and Lawrence County.
