James River Church Announces Leadership Transition

(KTTS News) — James River Church has announced a four-year leadership transition plan.

Pastors John and Debbie Lindell have served as lead pastors for James River Church for over 30 years.

But beginning in 2027, their sons and their wives — David and Becky Lindell and Brandon and Beth Lindell — will become co-lead pastors of the church.

When the transition takes place, John and Debbie will remain at James River Church as part of the pastoral staff.

John and Debbie Lindell, Lead Pastors of James River Church, with multiple campuses in Ozark, Springfield, Joplin and Online, announce a four-year leadership transition plan that will culminate with their sons and their wives – David and Becky Lindell and Brandon and Beth Lindell – becoming the Co-Lead Pastors of James River Church in 2027.

Pastors John and Debbie have served as Lead Pastors of James River Church for over 30 years. David and Brandon Lindell have both served the church in a variety of key leadership roles over the last 12 years.

The transition is being announced today to the James River Church family and will gradually take place over the next four years with incremental and intentional changes leading up to when David and Becky and Brandon and Beth will assume the role of Lead Pastors.

When the transition takes place, both John and Debbie will continue to serve at James River Church as part of the pastoral staff.
