(KTTS News) — For recreational marijuana lovers, today is known as 4/20.
It’s the first time in Missouri that recreational marijuana has been legal on the cannabis-themed holiday.
Cities across the country where its legal are holding marijuana themed events.
This week, Springfield City Council passed an ordinance banning people from smoking marijuana in public.
The new city ordinance also bans smoking in cars whether people are driving or not.
People caught smoking in public face a $100 fine or community service.
