(KTTS News) — A Dallas County judge has granted a motion to move the trial for one of two men charged with the kidnapping and murder of 33-year-old Cassidy Rainwater.
The trial for James Phelps will be moved to Jasper County on a change of venue.
Phelps and Timothy Norton are charged with first degree murder in Rainwater’s death.
Her remains were found in 2021 on property owned by Phelps.
A trial date for Phelps has not been scheduled.
Norton is scheduled to be in court next Tuesday.
