Investigators Identify Suspect Killed In Deadly Officer-Involved Shooting In Dade County

(KTTS) – Southwest Missouri officials have identified the man who was killed in an officer involved shooting in Dade County.

54-year-old Wayne Simmons of El Dorado Springs was involved in a confrontation Wednesday morning with deputies from Barton and Cedar counties.

They were checking on a stolen vehicle report, and they found Simmons inside a barn near Lockwood.

Simmons was killed in an exchange of gunfire, and no deputies were hurt.
