(Springfield’s News Talk 104.1) – Springfield Police released the name of a man who was killed in a motorcycle crash Monday.
Police say that 18-year-old Edward Smith died when a vehicle turned into his path.
The accident happened on Monday at 6:15 PM in the 2500 block of North Glenstone Ave.
Edward Smith was driving a blue and white 2011 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Glenstone when a blue 2019 Hyundai Elantra, driven by 60-year-old Kim Burbaugh, of Flemington, turned from northbound Glenstone into Smith’s path.
The vehicles collided in the southbound lanes of Glenstone.
Smith died at the scene and Smith’s family has been notified.
This was Springfield’s third fatal motor vehicle crash in Springfield in 2024.
