(KTTS News) — Springfield City Council has approved a new sales tax as part of the Community Improvement District for the new Buc-ee’s convenience store.
KY3 says the 5/8-cent sales tax will pay for road improvements and electric and utility lines at the corner of I-44 and Mulroy Road.
Buc-ee’s plans to build a 53,000 square foot travel center there with 100 gas pumps.
