A man is charged with involuntary manslaughter and drug possession after a deadly crash last year in Springfield.
It happened January 6, 2018.
Court records say Austin Larue, 24, from Springfield was on drugs and driving close to 100 mph when his car hit the railroad tracks and went airborne, hitting a pillar outside Ewing Sports Complex on west Bennett.
A woman who was riding with him died on January 12, 2018.
Larue admitted taking Xanax before driving.
Drug tests found other drugs in his system, including amphetamine, methamphetamine, carboxy-THC, and benzoylecgonine.
A search also found a sock with more drugs and drug paraphernalia, including meth, marijuana, and cocaine.
