(KTTS News) – A Springfield man has been sentenced to prison for a shooting that happened at a downtown parking garage last summer.
20-year-old Kerry Kyle Brooks was sentenced to 14 years for first degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
Police said a man was shot in his right foot in August, 2022 during a confrontation at the College Street Parking Garage.
Brooks later admitted to being drunk at the time of the shooting, and was just trying to “scare” the victim.
